The Simple Things in Life

Staying positive in trying times is difficult, but it is highly possible. Focusing on the simple things in life, such as a sunny day after a week of rain, making every red light when you are running late, or a big one for me, focusing on the love and support of family and/or friends are simple little things that can distract your mind from your troubles.

Vitiligo Point of View
I have been so focused on life that I have paid little attention to my Vitiligo in the past few months. No new changes to report with the Vitiligo, just holding steady. This is a testament to my new found way of life. Vitiligo usually worsens under stress, so the fact my condition is not getting worse means that I am handling my stress and more importantly focusing on my happiness. Smile even when you don't feel like it. You will feel better and others will treat you better.

My body is going through a lot of changes right now, but I love it! My life is going through major adjustments, but I am handling them. My attention is on my diet and exercise, to stay healthy; my faith to stay grounded, and this precious gift of life daily, to stay happy. I am not counting my new Vitiligo areas, but it has been revealing exposing my legs this summer. My legs welcomed much more body art (Vitiligo areas) last year, but I was covered all winter. Therefore this summer is the first time that many will see it. Managing any body image issue is all about how you manage your life in general. Start with the simple things.

Yes, keep it simple. That works for numerous things. We all need to be reminded that things are not always as bad as they seem. Thanks for your support!
